Beach Balls

If you live anywhere near water, which is everywhere because our planet is almost all composed of water, then you have gone swimming before. Even if it is an unnatural, really gross, over clorinated pool, it is still swimming. and where there are people swimming, there are beach balls! What is a beach ball, you might ask, well I'm going to tell you, even though I already know that you already know. A beach ball is an inflatable ball, that is rather large in mass and light in weight. They advertise them for children, but adults seem to have more fun with them, because they can actually catch them. They are too large for most children to catch, or even play with. This is why they decided to make beach balls of all different shapes and sizes, so everyone can play! Hooray! Beach ball manufacturers make more money!

Knives

When anybody, and I mean anybody, pictures a knife, they imagine a sharp, silvery kitchen utensil, or perhaps a cave man with a spear or dagger tied to the end of a stick. I would have pictured the first one, personally, but when I looked in to it, it turns out that all a, "knife" actually is is a cutting edge or blade of any sort. Weird, huh? It can be handheld, or otherwise. I doesn't even need to have a handle! People all over the world use them for all sorts of things! I pictured mainly food related purposes, but I've been wrong before.

Duct Tape

No matter where on this planet you live, or mabye you're not from this planet at all and you are really an alien light form that has tapped in to our planet's wireless internet and for some reason is reading my blog, but either way, you have both heard of, and used duct tape before. Duct tape is the easiest, best working, fun tool to use. It has an unlimited amount of uses! All it really is, is a "soft shell" with some gooey pressure sensative adhesive on one side. It usually comes in silver or grey, but you can buy it in practically any color or pattern or design, just about anywhere. One of my favorite uses for it is known as the uct tape wallet (see picture above, left). What is your wallet made of?

Alarm Clocks

When you think of an alarm clock, you think of what you wake up from every morning. That irritating, God awful sound, way too early for anyone to wake up. What it actually is, a device that makes a noise at a certain time. Later they invented clock radios, and now they have alarms on devices such as iPods, cell phones, computers, and game consoles. Most of them are digital now a days, due to lack of people who can actually read time. Some people say the humans are evolving and radually getting smarter. I think that we are getting dumber or "devolving" if yo will. Either way, alarm clocks are used to help people remember all sorts of things, and to stay punctual. Alarm clocks are a great invention years ago, and Iam convinced that they always will be.

Belts

A thick or heavy piece of cloth or leather worn around the waist, used to keep pants from falling down. A.K.A. a belt. Nobody actually knows when they were invented or who invented them, although they seem to have been around since the dawn of time. Women never really wore them until the early 17th century. Now they have been divided as something with two different uses. Either a nice and stylish accessory, or the original purpose which was indeed to keep your pants up. I use mine for both, as should everyone else. Even though looks don't always matter, it should still look nice. That goes without saying. My current belt has a fire beathing dragon! Although I do have several other, more professional looking ones. The only thing that is left to say, because as far as I am concerned there really isn't much to say about belts in the first place, belts are a genious idea, and everyone should use them. Nobody wants to see yor pants fall down, and nobody wants their pants to be seen falling down. Ever.

Chapstick

You'd think that chapstick is a relativly common object, right? Wrong. CHapstick is actually just a brand name for lip balm that is only used in nine countries. It started out when somebody decided that their lips hurt and wanted a cure. A man named Charles Browne Fleet used candle wax and tin foil to make the very object we use so often. Now, it is made very differently, but with the same intent. I think that chapstick is just an exuse to lick your lips. There are so many different flavors now, it's hard not to, even though the original purpose was to stop licking your lips. Chapstick also inspired lip gloss and lip stick, two more of our favorite things.

Jeans

Blue or not, jeans will always be in style. They started out as clothing for slaves because of their rough fabric, full of endurence. Today people all over wear them! As of right now, skinny jeans are popular. They are exactly what they are called, jeans that are tight around your legs. And then of coarse there are "loose skinny jeans," but that is a whole different story. Jeans come in hundreds of different styles, different cuts, sizes, colors, and even print patterns! It's amazing to think that something so awesome actually started here in America. We finally came up with somthing useful, lol, it's about time.
